Our Story

How we met and fell in love is a bit complicated.

When Jane first arrived in San Diego, Ronnie thought nothing of her and she thought nothing of Ronnie. It wasn't until Junior high that the first spark of love ignited... then quickly died. You see, back in Junior High, Jane's and her best friend, April both liked Gerald. Gerald was Ronnie's best friend at the time. Ronnie and Gerald both liked April. I guess you could say Jane and Ronnie were the rejects.

Well, because Ronnie had no game with April, he had this split second thought that maybe he should try his luck with Jane. But that moment passed quickly.

Years went by and friendships grew apart. Then after high school, something odd happened. Jane saw something in Ronnie for the first time. That something grew into love.

The first few dates were awkward. Could it be that little Ronnie and Jane were falling for each other. We realized just how much alike we were and just how much fun we could have with each other.

On a cold night in February in 2000, Jane and Ronnie took to the water aboard the San Diego Bay Ferry. Amidst the silent waters, Ronnie revealed a small metal basket from within his backpack. In it were two hand-stitched dolls along-side a hardcover book entitled "Jane and Ron." As Jane flipped through the pages, she read the story of our lives together up until that point in the form of a children's storybook.

"See Ron cook. See Jane eat," she read.

Until she finally came upon a single page reading, "See Ron fall in love with Jane." From that moment, the real story began.

It has been a long ride. There have been many ups and downs, but the greatest thrill is yet to come.
